  • We photograph families from all across Melbourne — for example, Hawthorn, Kew, Balwyn, Camberwell and Surrey Hills in the east, Brighton, Hampton and Sandringham in Bayside, as well as the inner north and surrounding western suburbs.

    Our studio is centrally located opposite one of Melbourne’s most iconic gardens, making it an easy destination for families travelling from all directions. Plenty of free parking is available with convenient access to our doorstep by tram.

    We’re also delighted to travel beyond greater Melbourne by arrangement for on-location sessions.

  • We love photographing pets and can help make a plan to best suit your non-human family members.

  • Absolutely — and we love it when great design thinking is already in the room.   • We are equipped to produce pieces in the widest variety of frames and finishes – we don’t work to a limited product range. If you have seen it (or can imagine it), we can make it. You’ll find our complimentary interior design service takes the guesswork out of selection, and makes it easy to explore the different options that interest you. We will certainly offer our recommendations based on the particular space and the kind of style and look that appeals to you.

  • We offer both studio and location photography sessions. For clients who prefer studio imagery, we offer shoots in our beautiful Melbourne studio, centrally located (and with easy parking and public transport access) only 3km from the CBD in Fitzroy North. We are located opposite the stunning Edinburgh Gardens for convenient access to one of Melbourne’s most beautiful outdoor locations. We also have some fantastic historic laneways nearby. Further to this, we can tailor shoots to accommodate your preferred location or make recommendations based on a particular style and look.

  • Every single image that appears on our website, and that has ever been taken by Natural Family Photography, is shot by our internationally awarded master photographer, Ross – the same photographer you will work with when booking with us.

  • All of our wall art packages include our interior design service free of charge, which will allow you to see digital mock-ups of your wall-art collections exactly as they would appear on your own walls as you make your selections. You’ll be able to choose with absolute confidence by knowing exactly how everything will look before you place your order.

  • Yes, all our printed offerings, from wall art to hand-bound albums are archival-grade so you can count on them being heirloom-worthy.

  • Yes - we can certainly arrange your package to accommodate this.

  • We will provide you with an easy-to-follow guide for shoot preparation upon booking, which will help set you up for success. Specific recommendations may apply to your particular circumstance or location, which will all be discussed with you well in advance of your shoot.

  • The selection process is tailored to each client’s preferences, and the nature of their particular package. We have options for online self-selection, online designer-guided selection via video-call, in-home designer-guided selection and viewing/selection at our studio.

  • We offer free delivery of wall art and bound art (albums) throughout metro Melbourne, or pickup from our Melbourne studio by appointment. We can also coordinate delivery of pieces to friends and family interstate and overseas.

  • Yes, we certainly do. We began our photography journey in the commercial space before starting a family of our own, and continue to shoot for businesses and brands, big and small.

  • Ross is very experienced photographing people of all ages, life stages and abilities and your session will be arranged to accommodate the needs of everyone involved.

  • Our shoot durations are flexible and will vary according to the custom package that best suits you.

  • There is no limit to the number of photographs taken during a session. The number of photographs included in your package will vary according to your chosen options.

  • Yes, we certainly can. Using your plans, we’ll be able to create mock-ups of your chosen walls, advise you on the behaviour of natural light in various parts of your new home and design collections to perfectly suit each space. We can even help coordinate installation for you too. When you move in, you’ll find your walls will look exactly like the mock-ups we will have provided you with.

  • There is something unique to capture about each stage of your baby’s early weeks and months. A beautiful shoot can be planned at any stage, but we can help you understand what might appeal to you most during your free package-design consultation call.

  • We love shooting weddings, but due to our busy family photography schedule are only able to take on a very limited number per year. Please send through your details and we’ll be in touch to discuss your special day.
