Natural Family Photography

Natural Family Photography is a husband and wife team; the former, Ross – award winning photographer and creative, the latter – Rochelle, multi-skilled producer and administrator. Both life-long creative artists, we were inspired to launch Natural Family Photography as a means to satisfy private requests for our services which had previously only been offered commercially. As well as our broad-based experience and high-end commercial equipment, we apply the same ‘anything is possible’ attitude to our family, portrait and wedding photography as we do our commercial, advertising and editorial work: the result is imagery that is personal, meaningful and never approached in a ‘one-size-fits-all’ fashion.

Natural Family Photography is dedicated to creating timeless works of photographic art that tell the unique stories of those we work with. We work on location and at the core of our style is photographing people in places and situations of personal significance.

Ross’ award winning photography (with awards including prizes from The Kodak Salon [Aust], The Moran Contemporary Photography Prize [Aust], Sony [Aust], Canon [Aust & NZ] and the Aperture Awards (international)], has been described as photo-journalistic, natural, candid – even cinematic, and our clients often choose to work with us through seeking professional photography that is beyond what is generally offered through traditional photography studios.

We believe the best photographs tell stories and exude emotion; both of which should be obvious not only to family and friends viewing the images, but to anyone.

We are based in Melbourne, Australia (Fitzroy North) where we live with our three children (and a fourth on the way); the oldest being five-years-old.
